About the
Dead Quizzers Society
Not just quizzing, but daring to stand on the desk of knowledge.
The Dead Quizzers Society is more than just a quiz club— born out of passion and relentless pursuing, it’s a community built on a shared love for curiosity, learning, and discovery. We believe quizzing is for everyone, whether you’re just starting or have years of experience, and we create a space where everyone feels welcome. From hosting regular quizzes that challenge and inspire, to sharing knowledge resources and tips that help you grow, we aim to make learning a habit, not a task. Through interactive initiatives like showcasing members’ contributions and hosting workshops, we celebrate the joy of quizzing and the connections it brings. Here, every question is a journey, and every member is part of the story.
Annay De
Quizzing for the past 11 years, his quizzing career began at South Point High School, which he represented at inter-school competitions such as Derek O'Brien's Bournvita Quiz and Barry O'Brien's Quizzat. His first accomplishment came at the Don Bosco Jubilee Quiz in 2013. A dedicated member of the school’s Quizzing CCA, he contributed quizzes to the school magazine and actively participated in intra-school events.
While pursuing his UG and PG Annay has also represented his institutions in Kolkata’s competitive quizzing circuit, earning awards and accolades at events such as Calcutta Cacophony’s Deuce Fest, Jadavpur University’s YESM (2023, 2024), the International Relations Scholastic Conclave, Bethune College’s Quilluminati, UEM's Jigisha, Dinabandhu Andrews College's Students' Week Quiz, Ramakrishna Mission Narendrapur’s Brain Teaser, and IIFT’s Economic Conclave Quiz. He was also a finalist in prominent quizzes hosted by Heritage, KPC, and Techno. He also emerged the winner of Mind Maze, the quiz of Economics Department's event Ecovision
Annay further expanded his quizzing repertoire as a quizmaster for a G20-themed quiz on air for Akashvani and as the founder of the quiz club at Dinabandhu Andrews College, where he was also involved with QuizCon as the President of Ecomatrix 3.0
